Can’t wait for these gems to be ready for harvest. The different fruit and flowering seasons make it such a joy to walk around the land. We just have to take a closer look, up and down, to catch a flower that has bloomed overnight or the tail of a lizard sticking out from under a bush.

One needs to be mindful and be in the presence to let the land show you what has come and gone. Even listening to the crumbling of a dried giant leave under my feet stops me in my step to marvel at how they too, spotted along the rocky river banks have added beauty to the place.

We have only a few durian trees but each time i walked past there i would look down to see their flowers scattered by the thunder storm the night before and I looked quietly hoping that those that remained could eventually turn into fruits. So each time when I return I would stand under the trees to check on the buds.

The land has settled a fair bit since we moved in and plants and trees are beginning to bloom with branches stretching out. The flowers feel almost like a gift opening up to impress. In response, I greet them with an attentive glance as I take a closer look. – PK Journal
