Flowing waters, wind in the trees, animals scuttling across the green. Time to step away to take a sneak peek at the crown of 2 Rivers. It is the ecolodge that sits on top of the hillock sandwiched between Sungai Bernam and another.
2 Rivers operates fully off-grid and is powered by solar energy. Because of this, the use of certain facilities—such as air conditioning and water heaters—may be limited at times. Our water supply also comes directly from the river.

A Brief Introduction
During our time in the great outdoors, we have always looked for rivers. After acquiring this piece of land that is sandwiched between Sungai Bernam and a small stream we decided to have a building designed around this potential. And also bearing in mind the main purpose for this property was to use it for running training programmes which is our business.
Besides elements in the environment, the design also took into consideration John’s and my preferences. The greatest challenge at this stage is to contain our excitement over the potential of this land and to come up with a building that embodies most of what we want and within the budget. From my experience with building Eight Acres in Raub, the cost can easily run away and decimate our budget.
Unlike Eight Acres that had its own attractions of the waterfall and ponds, 2 rivers is basically an empty piece of land where we have to create the attractions. So we focus on the building itself which is built based on environmental and sustainable concepts. Looking into wind and air flow, heat dissipation and shading where possible, energy consumption and building materials. So we try to keep as many trees as possible and one of them is the Chestnut tree which we have used as a main feature there.

To maintain the quality of our space and experience, a minimum booking charge of 10 pax per night applies to all reservations.
